Over 120 young members of the Anglican congregation at Holy Trinity Cathedral came together to celebrate and wish one another a Happy New Year 2025. The event took place on March 1st, 2025, within the cathedral premises.
The speakers included youth leader Bigirimana Boris and Deacon Bernard Iradukunda, representing the Dean of the Cathedral. They conveyed their best wishes for a prosperous 2025 and expressed gratitude to God for His protection throughout 2024, as well as for the accomplishments achieved during the year.
Key activities in 2024 encompassed evangelism efforts, youth teachings, missionary visits to other parishes and sub-paris within the Diocese of Bujumbura, and sports events aimed at fostering unity among the youth, among other initiatives.
The sermon, delivered by AKIMANA Patrick, focused on Hebrews 10:19-25. He highlighted the significance of gathering together and sharing with one another as an expression of love, particularly in the Christian faith.The celebration featured worship through songs, sharing the Word of God, various games, socializing, and opportunities to discover and develop individual skills. The day concluded with a communal meal.
