The project aims to strengthen peace, prevent gender-based violence (GBV), and develop leadership and conflict resolution skills within vulnerable communities.<\/p><p>The project identified <strong>peace champions<\/strong> in Gatumba and Cibitoke and provided them with training in conflict transformation to strengthen their role as mediators and promoters of social cohesion. In addition, <strong>young leaders<\/strong> from both areas were trained in <strong>servant leadership<\/strong>, enabling them to exercise responsible and community-focused leadership.<\/p><p>Community <strong>dialogues on conflict transformation<\/strong> were facilitated in Gatumba and Cibitoke, creating spaces for discussion on conflict prevention and peaceful resolution strategies. These dialogues encouraged active participation from community members, fostering social cohesion and reducing the risk of violence.<\/p><p>The primary beneficiaries are the local communities in Gatumba and Cibitoke, with a particular focus on young leaders and peace champions.
